Can I just put something out there. Clear something up... Johnny Borrell is really nice. The bad press - all bollox. I interviewed him for Ibiza Rocks and he was lovely; very polite and charming. He did a great solo performance opening the Ibiza Rocks Bar. I clocked the front row, all indie chicks gazing at him with lust and longing, desperately hoping to make eye contact, openly undressing him in those skinny jeans and signature vest and blazor...
Our paths crossed a few times during the evening as I DJed at his afterparty, debuting the opening of Freddie's Bar, in our new boutique hotel, the Ibiza Rocks House. Named after Freddie Mercury as he stayed in the suite we converted, it's our very own private house party. The decks are next to a massive double bed which Johnny was the first to jump on to, a poignant moment as it christened the begining of a new chapter in the Ibiza Rocks legacy, and the start of what I know will be a debauched summer of fun, freedom and fucking rock and roll.
I did have a slightly embarassing exchange with Borrell, when passing each other on the terrace, I was having a break from the decks, whilst Mark Jones from 6 Music and label owner of Wall of Sound took over. When asked how it was going, I replied 'Great. I have a free hour...' cringe! Sound like a hooker, much??!

home is where the heart is... there's no place like Ibiza

Life is soooo good. Last night I had the BEST time. Starting off at the International Music Summit's festival finale (in Dalt Vila, the castle in Ibiza's Old Town), with some of my dearest Ibiza Rocks pals, we boogied along to Japanese Popstar's, Hercules Love Affair and the ever fabulous 2 Many DJ's. After which I went for a late dinner with my favorite brothers (after my own) in Pacha's restaurant with yet more of my lovely friends and made a new pal - Kitt - I mean YOU!
Today I'm prepearing to interview Johnny Borrell pre Ibiza Rocks Bar opening gig, and tonight I'll be christening the decks in Freddie's Bar in our new venture The Ibiza Rocks House at Pikes. I'm expecting magic...
